Randy McDow - Director

The Director of the President's Scholarship Program and Associate Director of Enrollment Services is Randy McDow. You can reach him by calling 404.894.1944 or by emailing randy.mcdow@psp.gatech.edu.

Randy graduated from Georgia Tech in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with honors and under the Co-op Program. In 2003 he earned a Master of Science degree in Public Policy from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech. He attended Georgia Tech as a President's Scholar, and while he was an undergraduate, he was involved in the Student Government Association, the Musicians Network, and the ULC Residence Hall Council.

Billiee Pendleton-Parker - Associate Director

Billiee has been at Tech since December 1987 and has dual appointments as the assistant director for CETL and as the associate director of Tech's President's Scholarship Program.

Some of her community service activities and accomplishments within the Tech community include volunteering her time as advisor/mentor to TEAM Buzz (Institute-wide community service day), Dance Marathon at GT, Red Carpet Day Extravaganza, Tech Beautification Day, and as a teacher for a community service/servant leadership section of GT 1000.

While at Tech she has received numerous awards, including the Institute's Administrative Service Award, GT-Squared's Community Service Award, Presidents' Council first-ever Advisor of the Year award, the undergraduate student body's Friend of the Student and Administrator of the Year awards, the Women's Leadership Conference Woman of Distinction award, and the Ambassadors' Most GT Spirit and Most Likely to Receive the Nobel Prize awards. The Freshman Partner of the Year award is named in her honor. She is the most recent recipient of GT's Don Bratcher Human Relations Award.

Billiee is involved in service in and to the greater Atlanta community, as well. These activities include serving on the board of directors for Heart of Passion, former board of directors of and now as a volunteer with the Atlanta chapter of the AIDS Quilt/NAMES Project and involvement with PFLAG ; she coordinates the volunteers for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's televised Christmas parade.

She volunteers in many and varied capacities with Hands On Atlanta and was honored by being named Volunteer Chair of Hands On Atlanta Day in 2002--16,000 volunteers mobilizing in the nation's largest single day of service. City Cares and the USA Network awarded her the first-ever national "Give Where You Live" award this year, and she received the Atlanta Hawks' 'Home Team Hero' award. Billiee represented Tech, Hands On Atlanta, AmeriCorps, and *all* volunteers in January when she met with President Bush and was awarded the Presidential Service Award.

She was born in 1952, the year that Tech officially admitted women to its ranks; perhaps, in part, this helps to explain why one of her mantras is--"There are no accidents."

Ms. Rosie Banks - Office Assistant

Ms. Rosie Banks came to work for Georgia Tech in 1987 where she worked as the telephone operator. After ten years, she transitioned to being the front desk in the admissions office where she would warmly greet and assist anyone visiting Tech. Now she's moved to the Special Programs where she's "thrilled to death" to be working with incredible kids. Outside of working, Ms. Rosie loves vacationing on a cruise ships, attending plays, and cooking.
