On Exchange In Asia

I spent spring semester of my junior year on exchange at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Being on exchange for a whole semester truely allowed me to be immersed in the local culture as I lived, worked and had fun with many of the local students. I ate exotic food and took part in the festivities at Chinese Lunar New Year. Hong Kong also provided a great hub from which to visit other parts of Asia. I climbed the Great Wall in Beijing, saw the Terracotta Army in Xian, road elephants in Thailand, crawled the gucci tunnels in Viet Nam and even learned to eat fire with aboriginals in Singapore. All of this was made possible by the Fleet Study Abroad Scholarship and the President's Scholarship Program.
